Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Actually this forum itself is probably in the top 10 most important tools. For those of you under 50, there was a day where the only resource you had was a Chilton manual with greasy fingerprints on most pages. The convenience of a quick search just didn't exist. You had to actually visit an auto parts store, and the guy had a row of parts catalogs he had to look through that must have been 4 ft long from 20 different vendors. The things we take for granted...
Sometimes I miss the old ways, sitting on the monroe shock bar stool while my dad talked with the parts guy at Dick's auto parts, the smell of the machine shop in the back, lots of fond memories.

Tools are like Women, fun to have around and play with but expensive! Merry Christmas all!
Yeah But if you break a Crafsman Socket Wrench you can get a new one free...Don't know if they still do that, But if you get a bad life partner ..there is no store to trade the old one in.

When old-worn-out-rusty, it's cheaper to keep her!
I figured it'd be useful to post photos of necessary or unique tools needed on the H2. Some of us have had the fabricate things.
For starters, after completely going through my Hummer mechanically, I can say there's one tool that got more use than anything else. Not really unique, I just happened to see it in the tray at O'Reilly Auto parts for $5.99. it's been a lifesaver on hard to reach 7, 8 and 10 mm bolt heads! (Perfect fit for the two bolts that hold the oil cooler block on!) The brand is Titan, never heard of it before, but a swivel Head quarter drive short ratchet came in useful absolutely everywhere it seemed.
mine arrived today.
Neat little tool.
Appreciate the "heads up" .
