If and when the wife says she's done with H2, I'll probably get her a Land Rover. She doesnt do any off road driving.

I'll never get rid of mine, I'll add to the mix but I won't let it go. Bought in '05 and have had other vehicles since then but I love my H2. My son thinks he has dibs on it when he's 16 - kids say the funniest things.

 

We had great luck with our '96 Land Rover Disco.. Drove it up to 110k miles with virtually no problems at all (we were lucky).

But body rust (we live on the ocean) means it's time to move on.

So (it's my wife's car), we just "upgraded" to a 2003 H2 with 98k miles.

It's been babied, but still has the speedo issue and a rear-door sensor issue. And the 100k service is EXPENSIVE.

But it's in an entirely different class than the disco. Love the land rover, but the H2 is serious. And it's far more roomy inside than I was led to believe.

The Land Rover is a car. The H2 is a statement. So far we love it!

We seem to have a thing for orphans, my car is a 2007 Saab Aero Sport and the convertible is a '92 Miata. Our garage/driveway looks like Goldilocks (my wife) and the 3 bears.

I don't think ANYTHING compares to the H2.
