Default Shifter Button

Looking to replace oem plastic Shifter Button with billet. Ebay and Amazon both have listings. Anybody have a reconnendation for a good quality button ? Also, do you have to twist and break off the clips on old button to get it out ?

I know some people like to keep everything 100% OEM and stock, but I bought a completely metal shifter off eBay many years ago, the button is metal, so it's never going to break or get worn like the plastic one. I find it to be far superior to the OEM one, because I've dealt with both. I think on eBay it's called a Billet Aluminum Shifter

Yeah I bought I think the same one off ebay a few years back. You just spin it on. I think it has a Cam like the original plastic one. Still working great.

Can't remember exactly . But I think I pushed it in and twisted and pulled it out. The new one I pushed and rotated in. Maybe someone here can be more exact. Don't think you'll mess it up.
