Default Service Air Bag light HELP!

The "Service Air Bag" light has come on in my 2003 H2. I have replaced one impact sensor and swapped the other, no change. I doubt that they both went bad at the same time and I checked all the connectors and I can't find anything. I have searched and read every thread I can find and my next best guess is to go to the dealer and have it scanned. My OBD II reader does not show a code. I have looked for a fuse to check but I don't see a specific one for the air bags!

Any idea's?

Thanks!

Does your scanner have SRS capability?

Smart move, they are cheap. Post the code when you can, for further assistance.

Hummerz, I have been shopping for a new reader that does SRS. Any recommendations? Nothing seems like a great option, I don't think I want to buy a Tech2.

3100j (without live data) 3100j (without live data)

3160g (with live data) 3160g (with live data)

Check around, main thing to look for is canb abs/srs and it's up to you if you want live data or freeze frame support..

HUMMERZ, you are the man!

I found the 3100j at my local auto parts store, picked it up and it reads B0026 Driver Frontal Deployment Loop Open. Now I am trying to search for answers for that code.

Thanks for the help!

B0026 CHEVROLET Possible Causes

  • Faulty Steering Wheel Module Coil

Something with the steering wheel airbag. See the attached PDF.
