I did search and found an overwhelming amount of info, lol
RF wheel speed sensor not getting signal to abs module.
Replaced with ac delco SS and also cleaned hub.
Tried both with shim and without, still no signal, all other SS function perfectly.
Tested new SS on ohms and was in spec.
Put truck in neutral and turned tire, volts increased based on rotation, so the SS and hub are fine.
Without disconnecting cables from abs module, shorting SS connection and testing for continuity, is there a test/measurement I can take from SS cable end connector to abs module?
Truck on or off?
Hoping for just a rotted cable (2003).
Have a tech2 simply no reading coming from RF ss.
only abs/traction lights on, no brake light and chimes 4 times when started.
drives perfectly fine but would like to fix before the snow flies.
Ive tried disconnecting battery overnight, nothing.
Ive also tried the "gm abs reset" turn on but dont start and press gas pedal 3 times...
nope, on my truck that resets the oil life meter
****on a side note, have seen a few videos of disassembly to access front WSS, people pulling out brake pads, removing calipers all kinds of stuff...
All you need to to is remove tire and remove 2 caliper bolts/lift off caliper as one fully assembled unit, super easy and quick.
Sounds very much like a bad/open leg cable. Only functional test I can thing of would be disconnecting both ends and continuity testing it pin to pin. Or a visual along the routing for a bad/crushed area.
Im pretty hesitant to disconnect cable to abs unit as it hasnt been touched in 20years and guessing brittle and could cause more issues than it solves.
No test from end of harness to abs module while still connected?
***abstract thought, attach a aa battery (1.5v) to end of harness and see if abs module receives voltage (can read received voltage on tech2)?
Am I opening a can of worms by messing with abs main harness?
try to fix small problem and create larger problem?
Or is harness fairly easy to remove?

I wouldn't try a continuity test of the harness while it is connected to the EBCM as it would be applying a voltage across the EBCM which is only expecting to see a resistance.
Try spraying the EBCM connector with some soapy water to loosen all the old dirt/grunge followed by some low air pressure. You can follow that up with a generousl application of contact cleaner. The worst part of old connectors is they get brittle so all use of tools to pry/pull must be very judicious. If you don't want to pull the connector, take the wrap off the harness a few inches before the connector, and find the two RFW ABS wires, cut them and test with the ohm meter back to the wheel.
It is possible the issue is already a pin at the connector, and even an EBCM malfunction.
Interesting... When I picked up my 2009 H2 Lux back in the day from Fla and drove back to "South Joisey".....Halfway home The Stabilitrak and ABS light came on . The 2 had about 600 miles by than. Then the warnings would go away and later come back. Long story short after I got home I ran it to a HUMMER dealer. What they found was .... one of the production line monkeys.. forgot to clip the feed wire from the sensor cable to the Cable holder on the upper control arm.
So as the C-Arm moved up and down it gave the SS cable a haircut and would short it to ground. Later on during the trip home a Large 3/4 inch head 4 inch bolt dropped on the floor from under the dash. The tech said it was probably left up in side as a spare for the next guy on the line who never pulled it out.
That almost scared the disjected food out of me thinking it was a steering column support bolt or something more serious.
