Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Recent quote for (4) moog upper control arm bushing replacement.

$990 to replace (4) moog upper control arm bushings. Just looked up the bushings on Amazon, around 20 bucks a pop for acdelco or 13 bucks for moog. Was quoted $130 per bushing. Wtf?
A reason why I have done most of the work myself on our truck and invested in some tools. It is a lot of work, just looking at the savings by doing this myself. Dinner on me.

I think I would do the GM or Moog Problem solver complete control arm. It would be an easy swap and a lot less work then swapping just the bushings.

i wish I did that before I did all the work replacing the ball joints. Now that I have the press tools I just may do some extra work or get new control arms and just refurbish the old ones for the heck of it.

I would never reuse a 15+yr old control arm ever! Just buy the complete arms of your choice, plenty available cheap, and mount the old control arms on a wall as a trophy or on a shelf.

I suppose I’ll go that route in the near future. They are pretty solid though.

Just stay away from the Chiniseum Dorman and other cheap brands. I would rather have a good used OEM control arm with new MOOG parts installed than the white box parts store junk.
