I swapped out the factory radio of my 04 to a factory 07 radio and it says locked. I watched a video on youtube after calling gm for help and decided to go with the videos steps and remove the eepron. Now the radio is not displaying locked but cal error which goes away after u press cd or fm on the radio. But now i have no music coming out my speakers or door chimes noise and my factory alarm stoped working as well. What can this be im going CRAZY lol.

ps. Old radio i thew out so i cant reverse everything i did. fml.

 

you could have had some one with a GM tech 2 scanner reprogram the 07 to your vin number. literally takes 2 minutes.

Buy a NEW aftermarket radio and stop messing with old outdated OEM tech. Install the new radio with the correct adapter.
