Default Power steering pump upgrade recommendation?

I'm going to replace the PS and also the gear box in an effort to eliminate a whining noise and a play on the wheel
Could any one point to the right direction for an upgrade
The Oem doesn't seems like the best idea
Also how to bled the whole system
Thx

AC Delco would be my first choice, there is no upgrade on those parts. You don't have to bleed the power steering system. Fill it up and turn the wheel from lock to lock a few times and recheck the level.

I thought it was a good idea to replace the fluid as well . I had replace the reservoir fluid but never flush the whole systems .

Usually Acdelco is my 1st chice but thisbis the 2nd pump to be replaced so it looks like the OEm PS is a POS
I remember a thread about an upgrade for a stronger pump but cant find it .
Amazon is showing different choices but im lost on which is better

Update: i found the thread. AGR was recommended but the reviews for the pump are very bad . People complainedabout fail noisy etc .
Guess im goimg with Acdelco

Default How much fluid?

I'm going to flush all the fluid from the Ps using the return disconnect hose method
Does anyone knows how much fluid is needed to flush the old and keep it filled
Thx

I would say buy two quarts. I used Amsoil Synthetic power steering fluid when I did mine but it was a few years ago and I don't remember how much it took.

if installed correctly with fresh fluid and new lines and bleed the system including the power brake booster, it will work as intended. mine works perfectly with 38 MT tires for past 2 years now. it's so smooth i turn the steering wheel with one finger.

There has been a number of premature failures reported but i'm certain it has to do with how it was installed, hence the job is involving with no cutting corners and without doubt one needs the know-how.
