Post Parts collection?

Greetings!
I recently purchased a 09' H2 Lux and really love the vehicle. As you could probably tell by my username I live down in Cabo. The truck is still stateside at my parents place and I intend to make the drive south in a couple weeks. I'm aware that acquiring parts for these vehicle can sometimes be a challenge so I expect that problem to be exacerbated by the fact I basically live on an island. At the moment it runs exceptionally well for a vehicle that has 190k miles on the clock (yikes I know....). I'm no stranger to turning a wrench and understand everything has a shelf life.

My question for all the OG's here is this: What parts should I acquire/collect (whether I need them right now or not) before I make the drive south to Cabo? I have service records going back a little over 7 years to reference and there's been nothing major performed. Simple items like belts and hoses are an easy find here at the local AutoZone, I'm more concerned about things I should be scouring E-bay or the secondary market for as that's the only place to find them. Window motors, control *****, relays, pumps, etc.

It had an oil change just before I completed the purchase a couple months ago so besides that I'll be changing all the fluids stateside.

Regarding oil, what is everyone running? Mind you I'm pushing 200k. Per the service records the previous owners only ran conventional oil NOT synthetic or a blend. I'm a believer in full syn. but am hesitant on making that switch just before such a long drive.

In addition if there is ANY technical advice you have for these vehicles, that only owners would posses, I'm all ears. Cheers!!

the salty air of island life will acellerate rusting so keep that in mind if the truck already has any. try treating it with some fluid film or lanolin based undercoating when needed.

Bronx,
You read my mind exactly. I have a history of spending the first few months under my vehicles with a wire wheel/sander and fresh protectant to remove and prevent any further deterioration.

dont waste your mony on por15 it chips/ flakes and rusts even on clean sandblasted metal. scrapes or chips off super easily. looks great at first then you notice with time its not holding up well. oddly enough regular cheap brush on rustoleum holds up much much better. and you get a gallon for what a quart of por 15 costs.

I would say to buy some door switch modules, HVAC control, and those types of electronics, but you know that if you have a spare one, they will never fail. LOL

A few years back I bought some Black Rattle can spray Bedliner used for your Pick Me Up. Any way..I forget who's brand it was. It's in the garage and it's 20* in there now. Anyway,Every time I go in for an oil change I look for spots that show signs of it coming off. I haven't found any major areas where it has come off or started to flake off. It's holding up really well.

Ok I found it on line.... This is what I shot Fatboy with... Still looking good..

OEM? Or is there a specific aftermarket upgrade that has been found to be a better option? I installed a coolant filter kit on my 7.3l Power Stroke and was blown away at the sediments flowing throughout the system due to the casting process of the block. These sediments are primarily responsible for water pump and radiator failures. I wonder if this would be beneficial in this case as well.

I'm pretty sure the local AutoZone has that exact product in Cabo, I'll definitely be doing some "frame maintenance" as this was previously neglected.
