Go direct and contact motor manufacturer. There should be a stamping on it maybe? New one may be the wrong motor. Worst case, get the old motor rewound at an electric motor shop. You are talking to the wrong people. The sunroof installers with a jigsaw in one hand wont help you.

either
1. wrong motor, ie wrong part number, or motor superseeded with different unit by GM that was not tested in H2
2. wrong pinout for your year - can be tested or looked up. Your hint is the extra pin in the harness.
3. bad new motor - can be bench tested once pinout is known
4. is there a logic onboard the motor? If it is just dumb, then you can easily bench test. If logic controlled, you cant.

the solution is not that hard…..

Default New Sunroof Motor Woes

When i searched for the correct part number for my VIN, it came up my GM part number 15781626. It does not appear there are any other part numbers for sunroof motors for H2's? I have had 3 shops look at this with no concrete answers. All electronics have been tested on the Hummer and they all work. They just won't power a new motor but will power my old one in one direction. All of these shops said they have never seen anything like it. I am going to have to live without a sunroof I guess.
I had this exact problem, solved it by taking the logic board out of the old motor and installing it into the new unit and BOOM! it works....

Thanks for the info, how did you get the logic board out? From what I saw, that was not removable. It was a rectangular box. Maybe you can send a picture of what you replaced, thanks!

Replace the circuit board on the new motor with the old one. It will work.

As I remember, there are 4 screws... it separates... no pic, sorry! Take care with the two wires, they crimp and break easily... out of 3 motors , 2 were damaged that way....
