Default New radiator

Ok boys and girls, installed a new all aluminum radiator in the H2. Cold Case, check them out. Had to give clearance to radiator bulkhead at the weld area at top of radiator and to the fan shroud because of how wide coils are. Really nice radiator in my opinion. Was going to have a shop install it but don’t trust them. May have had it installed as is with clearance problems. Still using internal oil and trans cooler with factory external trans cooler. Tired 67 year old man tonite. You can get the old radiator out without removing fan and clutch, but to install shroud fan clutch needs removal. To tired for pics tonite.

I just got this one.....
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VHN7DR9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VHN7DR9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Overall the box and packing are very good, welds all look very good, the fittings are very nicely done. I have not yet installed it though as I'm also going to be converting to factory electric fans (using all factory GM wiring, series/parallel relay module, and tying them into the PCM for factory fan control just like on the 08/09 models). I'm also going to keep the engine and transmission oil coolers functional but I'm not going to replace the hard lines which will interfere with the electric fans shroud (you can also buy the trans and oil cooler lines for an 08/09 if you want). I've found the right size barb fittings for both sides and will cut the lines where they have an existing flex section and tied them in. Going to be a bit of a project...

I had first ordered this one
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L7YVC3H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L7YVC3H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The first one I got in, poor packaging and had full upper and lower rails which would not allow a set of factory electric fans to mount to it. The first one also had a good bit of bent fins, the fittings and overall quality was just overall very poor. I would not have trusted it.

Update. Flushed whole system, Preston 10 year, 300000 mile coolant, no more Dexcool. Definitely runs cooler, and temp really drops on off throttle downhill run. Here a little more fan noise during exceleration, I believe because of extra row of cooling fins. Did not change thermostat, wanted to maintain operating temp but improve desert and hill climbing temps. I lived in summer temps are as high as 115-120, now living in high of 100 and snow in winter. Check out cold case radiator.
