Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Nest Project, Shocks

Well cannot figure out how to edit the title, miss-spelled and cannot correct it, "Next Project"

Looked at Fox and Bilstein remote reservoir shocks and settled on the Bilstein's, they've been used in the OEM market for a while and I like the ride on past trucks.
Still waiting on one rear shock to show up and I didn't like the color of the Bilstein boots so I opted for a different brand which will require a boot adapter to mount correctly. Designing it and will print it in the coming days.
Anyone else running the Bilstein's, if so what's your impressions of the shocks?

Bilstein is my favorite shock, put a new set on my H2 and then put a set on my squarebody GMC. I don't need the remote reservoir, but your setup looks great.

Looks sweet! I’m a fox guy myself. I’ve got 2.0 reservoir shocks on mine and I love the soft ride.

In all honesty though I don’t think I’d be able to tell the difference between fox and Bilstein😂

let us know how you like them when you’re done.

Got them mounted but found the bump stops falling apart so ordered some replacements.
The rears are also mounted but didn't get pics tonight, I'll get some tomorrow and post them.
The instructions recommend mounting the remote reservoir up front in a different location (on the frame) but I didn't like that so I changed it up a little
Drove it a little on a road I drive just about every day, the ride is noticeably better, not near as harsh over bumps and RR tracks.
I've never had a truck with Fox shocks on it so I can't compare them, I have had a few trucks with Bilstein's and have liked them over others. My 96 Z71 extended cab has Rancho 9000XL adjustable shocks and they don't come close to the Bilstein 4600's I took off.

I just guessed "nest" was that Louisiana Cajun heritage coming out.
Do you have springs or air ride on rear?

Got the front bump stops in and installed, the old ones were destroyed

Now all that is left to do is model and print the adapters to secure the boots to the shock shafts,

Should steer better (less wobble from smaller bumps) with the new front bump stops. Those are very important on the H2 as it slightly rides on them in normal driving...
