Default need some stereo setup ideas ?????

So i was planing on geting a stock 6cd or nav unit to replace the older JVC unit that i have now but after thinking about all the work that need to be done i figure going with a aftermarket setup may be a better route .
So if any of you guys care to get me some advice on what radio/speakers package to go with ????
The wife told me to flip a coin and make up my mind about stock vs aftermarket ;-)....

I prefer the stock looking head unit. I added a Hummer specific Rockford Fosgate amp under my rear seat and installed the upgraded door speakers that came with the kit.

I replaced my stock headunit/ disc changer with a JVC touch screen. It sounds soooooooo much better the stock head unit that has really no sound settings other then the factory modes which always sounded so "muddy" to me. It also helps to modernize the dash, only downside is it needed like $100+ Worth of harness, gmos, power & steering wheel controls.

I posted some info in the Audio Visual section of the forum. I went with the Pioneer AppRadio 3 with stock set up. The best iPhone integration out there IMO. Blutooth calling and music streaming is flawless. If you have iTunes Match you can have access to your entire music library at the touch of a button.

I installed the AppRadio 2 and I love it. Pioneer really dose make a great quality product. The 3 came out the month after I installed mine, I was pretty .

On a side note I installed 2-10" Rockford Fosgate in the rear. My subs pump out all bass. My stock BOSE push the highs, mids, and only a tiny bit of bass. I'll be honest and say it sounds clear and loud; even when I'm pumping Five Finger Death Punch so loud my rear view shakes.

I'm still acquiring parts to do my upgrade. I went with the Kenwood DNN-990 head unit and an aftermarket back-up camera (I have another Kenwood unit in my work van and absolutely love it). I also purchased the Metra GMOS-100 integration harness and the Sirius-XM module.

I still need the harness for steering wheel controls, the antenna adapter plug, and the plastic install kit.

Can anyone tell me if the Onstar microphone will automatically connect for bluetooth calling or will I have to install the mic that comes with the radio?

Also, will the factory XM antenna just plug into the new receiver or is some adapter needed?

When it is all said and done, I will be selling off the old Nav head unit, GPS module, and 6-CD changer on EBAY as a package deal
