Need help bleeding brakes after new lines and master cylinder
Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
Forget the carpet, just talking about floor mats/carpet mats. Measurement is done from the bottom of the brake pedal to the the area where the pedal would hit if it went to the floor. e.g.:
With my other issues going on and trying so hard to get these brakes bled, i never paid attention to your brake pedal height. The pic above shows approx 6.5" from the floor, while mine is only 4.5", pushed i go down to 1.5" from floor. See attached pics. Is there a way to bring that pedal up? I tried bleeding manually, auto bleed was finally done but no improvement. Wondering if my new master cylinder is defective or all this is just normal. I never driven another hummer and not many around here i can go test drive to compare.
Had the same issue. Drive it, hit the brakes hard enough to cycle the ABS pump & bleed. Repeat until all air is out. I replaced all hard and flex lines with the MC. Vacuum bled, but forgot about the ABS pump. . Had to take it in to the shop for other stuff and asked them to look at ( I told them about the MC and line replacement, and symptoms when I warned them about low pedal). Activating the ABS and rebleeding was what he said he did.
