Default Mounting locations for oil catch cans?

Busy going through my new-to-me 2003 Hummer H2....changing all filters and fluids, belts, hoses, installing aluminum 4 core radiator, dropping front axle to do the oil pick up tube O-ring as a preventative thing. Oil cooler lines need done as well. But I am stumped on a good location for the oil catch can? Have one on the Escalade with the 6.2, but much more room under the hood.

Would sure appreciate some photo's of successful mounting ideas! I figure I'll need to fabricate a bracket of some kind.....

....Or am I better off just going with the updated baffle design like the 6.2's have? I despise oil in the intake....

I put a Moroso one on mine and attached its bracket to another piece and then to one of the hood latch bracket bolts. The 1/8" thick flat aluminum piece I cut and bent from scrap I had around...

Default Looks good

Hope you don't mind me duplicating your creativity

I like the added drain at the bottom of it as well. And I'm thinking that location keep it fairly warm to help reduce condensation inside.

The Moroso one comes with that drain on it. Makes it super easy to empty....

You would just need to fabricate the bracket to the firewall that gets bolted on with the hood latch bolt. I'd have made that end taller to attach with both bolts but the scrap piece of aluminum I had laying around was not big enough. With the thickness of the aluminum I used it is perfectly fine and stable though.
