Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Maintenance & a Question

So decided it was time to address some underside issues now that the leaks are all fixed. So painted the front skid plate and rear axel/Diff cover after doing some corrosion control. Noted that the front wishbone bumper stops were "missing". So replaced those as well.

Question - can I replace the shocks in the garage fairly easily or are they best left to a garage with a lift? Mine look pretty old. TIA.

Yeah, I don't have an impact, just regular wrenches/sockets & 1 jack. You take tires off?

Was the impact necessary? Or will the bolts/nuts move with a 1/2" drive/sockets combo?

You should be able to get them with hand tools. taking the wheels off might be easier for the fonts, but you could probably do it with the wheel on. someone will correct me if im wrong. Soak all the bolts with PB blaster a day before doing it and your life will be easier.

Thank you. It's due for tire rotation & alignment check so figured those best done after the shocks installed, but hoped to save a couple more bucks. Appreciate the info/assist.

Highly recommend you go with Bilstein shocks. Good job on the frame clean up.
