Default LSA Supercharger or aftermarket

I've done some searching but I couldn't find the info I needed I was curious if anyone is running the LSA supercharger over the aftermarket aka Whipple and such ? Just want some extra power for hills I usually drive it between 70-80 on the highway sometimes with a 2500lb trailer and I'm not interested in drag racing it. LSA seems like a good option

Thanks

The LSA ones "can" be used on the older cathedral port engines with some custom made adapters. You would almost certainly find more info on those who have done it on one of the various GM cars, trucks, or SUV forums though since they are vastly more common. I have seen in the past where a couple of places made custom machined adapters to fit the rectangle port superchargers onto the older cathedral port heads but I dont remember seeing any performance figures or what sort of tuning was needed. I think the disadvantage is pretty much all of the accessory stuff like piping, brackets, etc will need to be a hodgepodge of custom parts. The advantage to a Maggie or Whipple is those can be bought as a package that has everything needed and made specifically for a cathedral port head truck engine. I know it is doable and has been done with the LSA superchargers though.

I found a site that sells the complete kit to include the adapters for head and injectors , at about 1200 dollars less than the Whipple , After emailing them I believe I would need to purchase a belt , fuel pump and intake system plumbing.
