Never thought about trying a steep incline, that should work for a diagnosis of the o-ring. Thanks for sharing.

These people are Hummer expert . Very trusted shop in my area . They are very knowledgeable in Gm ..
They gave me a discount . Still paying 1700 .which is fair considering the amount of work involved
plus I trust them better than any local cheap mechanic

To answer your question, you can get an 08/09 H2 or LSA pump which is rated for more pressure due to the VVT.

On top of that you can have the pump ported which helps mostly with the volume and a little for the pressure.

I just did this, and while it is a PITA it is something you can do without a lift.

thanks for the info, unfortunately carne to late. Truck was fixed over the weekend
oil pressure back to normal
by the way . Does normal mean preasure is around 25/30 at idle. 40ish plus at 2000rpm ?

I have an 05 and oil pressure is at 40 at all times. if you use synthetic oil, it will be around 35. but 25 is on low side.

That is perfectly fine. What was the fix? new O ring?

everything. Oil pump replaced including the O ring . Front cover gasket, front seal, oil pan gasket , water pump gasket

An update to the low oil preasure.
just realized the noise I thought was coming from the exhaust broken bolts was the bad oil pump recycling
