Default Looking For That Parasitic Drain?

Picked up one of these from Amazon... I see some of you gentleman have had some Battery drain issues. Really neat and easy to locate the circuit without pulling fuse's as this clips onto the fuse without pulling it and reads current thru it.

Amazon Amazon

Also Picked up one of these...cheap.. never saw one like this.. Lets you see the spark..watch the videos..

I just had a new battery installed, however it drains after 2 to 3 days... nobody can find any draw from the battery including a "Stealership."

"Stealership."
That's the problem... They just pulled a few fuses and charged you $100.00 per hour Plus. You could have bought the amp hound and went to a local Meck-an-Ic and he could have found the circuit drain area thru the fuse with the Amp Hound.

The "AMP HOUND" on Amazon? It clips to your fuses without removing them and shows draw. It's pretty cool. No pulling fuses. Just clip onto the fuse with the included adapters for different fuse types.

This is the cheaper one I got. it should be at the top of the post.

That is pretty slick! As far as parasitic drains, as said above- its just finding the circuit its on. With this, basically an amprobe, checking on the fuse would literally as stated- would pay for itself the first time used in labor rates. Never knew such a tool existed.

Yeah I could have used a tool like this a few years back. A little pricy for the basic model but as you say it will pay for it's self Vs the dealer charge for the Amp Drain hunt. And It's made pretty well.

Thank you, I've had to replace 3 batteries in the last 7 months but what I couldn't understand was O'Reilly replaced them all under warranty cause they said they were all bad! I don't understand how they would show up to them as bad, I would have thought their device would have picked that up! Smdh
