Default Leather Seat Covers

I just purchased new front seat leather covers for my 07 H2. They are very high quality and matches my ebony interior (482 RPO Trim Code). https://www.ebay.com/itm/225055423420

They did not come with the bottom and back seat heaters stitched in them, I was told by the manufacturer that our stock/factory seat heaters can be cut out and used on the new seats.

Has anyone been able to transfer their seat heaters over to new covers? I talked with a local installer who said you cannot transfer our seat heaters over, but he will sell me new seat heaters with a seperate switch to operate them as they are not compatible with our factory seat heater switch (that ain't gonna happen)

So, before I go any further, hoping someone here has done this properly. I would order new ones from GM but they don't make the seat back for one of the front seats, can't remember which one, also I did buy a new drivers seat bottom a couple years ago from them, but the ebony color they use is way lighter than it should be, so really cant use GM.

Thanks in advance.

if I recall when I was testing mine a working heater pad measured 12 ohms. I guess if the one they have are in the ballpark you might be able to use the factory buttons with there heater pads and your old harness.

Check out theseatshop.com, they have the one you want, and plugs right into the original connector. You can go through the process of unstitching the old one and sewing in the new one, or what i did was gamble and place the new one on the cushion and just slipped the cover back over. Worked great heats up right away and is just as hot as before. I clipped the wires extra short from the original, and sent it.

I replaced my seat covers and was able to remove and transfer the stitched seat heaters over and they worked just fine for 3 months. I found a good online tutorial or maybe YouTube on how to do it and with a sharp razor blade it wasn’t that hard. Then….about 3 months later the seat heaters blew a fuse. I pulled them both out and put in new ones totally plug and play. Except for another round of bloody knuckles pulling the seat covers off and then installing them again, all is good. If I had to do it all over, I wouldn’t mess with the old ones, just buy new ones, spray the liquid upholstery glue on the heater and the bottom of the seat and install.

Dorman - 641-105

Those work perfectly for the bottoms. Have used them on several of my past rigs, no issues. they dont sew in, they have adhesive. I also did my seat foam at same time

seems to be a better value for the money as it states both bottom and top for that price. you can not get hummer specific ones you have to use the other gm's / Cadillac / chevy either way.

Yes, I have done this on a 2006 and the heaters worked fine. With that said, this was a PIA for me. I still have a piece of trim I need to put back on but I am procrastinating because I don’t want to pull the seat again. There are some good videos on UTube.

Thanks for all the input. I suspected the heaters could be removed and transferred over.
