If it is a pretty good leak, the power steering should be emitting a whining noise if low on fluid. It the coolant level low?

This is typically power steering fluid. It is exactly located in that area, and drips down from the hoses. Common problem on the H2

It does not take much fluid to wet the area, but you should be seeing a drop in the PS reservoir.

Unless you are running pure water, coolant is not clear like OP is seeing. Typically GM Dex-cool pink, but some may have switched to generic green.

OP did not tell us if the goo is water soluble or not. If it is, it could only be coolant or brake fluid or ww fluid.

Nope, pink. Read thread to understand.

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...%20concentrate.

And I do not run pre-mixed, as I prefer to run 60/40, as it offers superior cooling. I am not trying to save pennies….

Some1 f'd up & added the wrong coolant.

Prestone manufacturers ACDelco / GM Original Equipment Dex-Cool & it's still ORANGE!
