Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.
That's incredibly impressive. So you just took every chip on the board and re-traced each circuit to figure out how it all works, or is there some kind of x-ray machine that does all of it for you?
As the module was encased in rubber compound to seal it from the elements, carefully remove every molecule from beween the pins and surface mount components (you can still see some rubber-bits)
Label and identify all SMT components and chips.
Trace every track removing chips when necessary.
Produce circuit diagram and verify.
Produce PCB layout.
Repair PCB & test (you can see the replacement track, my module had a hair-line fracture on the otherside)
Hello, I have a 2004 H2 and recently had electrical issues with the Speedo instrument. The dealership said that I have to replace the whole instrument. They need to order the part from the US, which might take 1-3 months according to them (located in Saudi Arabia).
I asked for the part number to try to find it online to order but all searches show "Discontinued". This is the Part number they provided me with: 15134729.
The gauge I have is the "White" version in KMH. I don't mind getting a MPH, but need to know which other Part # would fit. Dealership can't confirm other part #, and I'm liable for any part I order myself. I found this Part # on eBay, 15199643 would this work? (eBay Link)
There are several companies that refurb these clusters including Digital-Dash-Solutions, LLC noted above. Many still have parts and support from the original vendors of the components. My recommendation is that you send them a private message on ebay and explain what's wrong with yours and what you need. I'm certain they will be able to get you taken care of and probably even allow fo you to keep your KM/h which is pretty cool! I wouldn't abandon it as it's rare.
