Ignitition switch?
when I bought my 07 there was push button ignition installed. no name brand, doesnt do remote start or alarm
just push button and key fobs. so you dont use the key anymore I only got 1 beat up fob with truck, went on ebay and found
a similar unit and had local stereo shop install it for me. with the old system once every 10-15 starts
I would get no audio from aftermarket radio, turns on but no audio, im still using the bose amps. was hoping issue was with the
push button start. anyway still happening and more frequently since new push button installed. also once or twice i had no blower motor. that hasnt happened since i replaced blower motor and resistor, also I dont have (Rap) i believe its called. accessories dont stay on
after vehicle shut off thats probably due to push button start
anyway my question is are there multiple feeds off of ignition switch? would one of them feed only Bose circuit?
since key is no longer used i tried cycling key rapidly to possibly clean contacts in ignition switch, dont know how the push button start bypasses ignition switch That did seem to help, worked for a day.
if you want to start you push button and press brake pedal. just like ignition switch if you dont press brake pedal
every push of push button will give you accesory full key positions. im thinking since key isnt used anymore contacts get dirty
dont know how push button bypasses key. I know there is a key under dash somewhere for the factory alarm/theft unit
sorry so long hopefully someone understand my problem from long description
what confuses me most is that it seems to be only the radio affected, also forgot to mention it does it with 2 different radios.
not why I changed radio, wanted carplay

interesting i thought about the interfaces for radio. but have been so preoccupied with this
damn push button start, wish the P.O would never have installed it. no one local I could find
would attempt to remove it. there was an aftermarket radio when I bought truck, I wanted car play
and had radio replaced but kept all the interfaces , the bose, steering wheel controls etc, because they worked
fine. thats why i started thinking problem could be ignition switch
