Default Idler Arm Torque Specs

The Service Manual has the following:
  • Idler Arm to Frame Nut 120 N.m/ 89 lb ft
  • Idler Arm to Relay Rod Nut 60 N.m/ 44 lb ft
But what about the nut that holds the arm to the housing? Anyone know the Torque for that?

My idler arm came in two parts from GM, and it seems I can't find the spec for it that nut that joins the housing to the arm.

If I am reading the Manual correctly 44ft/Lbs on both ends of the idler arm, Housing side and relay rod side, nuts, and Housing to frame 89Ft/Lbs Nut and Bolt

Interesting. Can you shoot me a snapshot of yours? Mine has no such reference.

Just re read it the spec is for "relay rod tapers" so if its a taper of the same size would be same spec or this assumes the idler arm is pre assembled?

Yes, yours is the same as mine. Only specifies the housing bolts and ball stud to relay rod. It makes no mention of the idler arm to housing nut, which is different to ball stud/relay rod connection
