Default I have another electrical question

Hey everyone, so I got the radio working again, however, again while driving i get one loud chime, radio dies and all of the 4x4 lights flash go out then come back to normal. Also the only thing working as far as retained accessory power after the key is switched off are the windows. Does this sound like a bcm problem? Thanks

Is this the first time any of these symptoms appeared, or was it in conjunction with/happen before the radio wiring issues? It's beginning to sound as tho the PO may have made several sloppy wiring changes. You may just have to pull all the dash panels and review all changes made to oem equipment, how the wires are run/bundled and ensure that wire splices are tight and nothing is crimped or shorting. Also check that all the BCM connectors are fully seated. Others have had BCM issues only because a PO had dislodged a connector for some reason.

When I had the front dash panels off the other day I did reach in with my long pliers and the center plug was dis lodged, After I reseated it I put the battery wires back on to no change. This is exactly what it was doing before the radio died too. When I was saying I "messed with it" I was just meaning Turning the key and starting the truck too, I have a difficult time conveying what I mean through the typed word sometimes. What started this all was, not retained accessory power, lights all over the dash flashing intermittently, and the audio chimes and radio failing. When I use my innova 2 scan tool, it says no communication to several various modules. This truck has a tremendous water leak as well when I acquired it. I have since fixed that issue, but before I did, when it would rain outside, it would rain inside also if you know what I mean, and the PO left it out side all its life. I live on the Olympic peninsula in Washington state if that gives you an idea of the wetness I'm dealing with. Thanks for your insight, Metal.

check the ground near the emergency brake, one is behind the kick panel. also check the green can bus terminator there for oxidized connections / pins.

Metal -- understand better with above info and previous rain water issues. As Bronx stated, starting to sound like potential ground(s) issue and it does occur at the left and right kick panel locations due to water intrusion at those locations just as you indicated. I have a grounds file with figures but it is 1.2MB so not sure how to get it to you. Also check all the connectors at the IP power block just to the left of the brake pedal for corrosion.

Metal - note in following that at least 2 of the BCM grounds go thru the IP relay block before getting to the ground location on the kick panel Bronx and I mentioned above.

Thats great thank you guys! I found the files in the forum and downed them to my pc. I didn't realize how many grounds there are and the water went right down in those kick panels too. I'll take a dremel to them then dielectric grease all of them.
