08s have that too. Do they all have 4 wheel disc brakes?

@mattdillon
You had an ‘02 Hummer H2 you say.

Very rare. Must have been a prototype sold to the public, LOLz!

Yes....

03/04 did have some differences from 05-07 models. 03 was the only year with no fender radio antenna (which I like) - on 03 only the radio antenna is roof mounted.
03/04 also did not have the global windows.

Some other slight differences among the years as well. Of course 08 was a massive change with a different drivetrain, interior, and totally different electrical system.

The only reason I jumped on it was because the interior was just like my 08 Silverado. It saved on the time of learning all the controls. I love it tho!

Back to the thread. I think mine has been tuned. The throttle has a sweet spot. Either that or it really needs a tune up.

+1 on the Diablo tune - it was recommended from a forum member here and has definitely improved drivability, performance and mileage on my '08.

Mattdillon, who's tuner did you use and how was it installed, did you have to send off you ECM or was it a tuner that just plugged into the OBD2 port?

Thanks he's a local guy about 30 miles from me but he came to me & did all the tuning his self with his lil' computer & he actually went with me after he tuned it & asked me if I could tell any difference & I'm telling you it made a BIG difference, it's called Mad Tunes Racing, he's in La. it's been a good while since I've had it done but I would think he's still around, well worth the money in my opinion, there's no other H2's that can run with me

Yes, there's a handheld device that plugs into the OBD port and it's a bit of an interactive process where you perform certain functions, capture readings, send info back to (Lew Diablo?) several times and he sends updated ECU coding. It apparently has a self-learning mode that continues to update and improve.
