Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default Hummer H2 2006 Manual

Does anyone know where I can download the mechanics repair manual for a 2006 Hummer H2. I like working on my own car and would like to have it for use in future repairs. Currently I need to replace the knock sensors and plan on doing it myself and save $700. Youtube has a great video but I would like to have a manual with all the information. Thanks.

For the knock sensors it is nothing specific to the H2. It is the exact same as on the 99-07 full size GM trucks and SUV's. Search for Silverado knock sensor replacement and there are a number of videos that walk you through that. Fairly tedious but not terribly difficult to change them. Make sure to get genuine ACDelco ones to replace them as you do not want to have to replace them again in a year....

Helm is who prints them for GM. I believe that you can still purchase a new three volume set from them, but be prepared for sticker shock. Although even though are expensive, it would be nice to have a set.

There is another option but it is fiddly. You can find downloads of the GM eSI system online which usually covers from like 1980 through 2009 models (some of the pre-95 stuff is extremely limited but the Hummer stuff is complete). I say fiddly because the earlier GM eSI software was DVD based and needed to run on a Windows XP computer. The versions you can find online are usually a VMWare Virtual Machine and it can be tricky to get it running right on a newer Windows operating system. I actually have converted the VMWare VM to a Hyper-V VM and run it on Windows 10 no problem.

@bronxteck

Thanks for that link to the service manuals.
Did you or anyone else figure out a way to download that online Mitchell service manual you showed the link for?
Saving each page as a PDF would take days.

Would be really nice to have a copy for our 2007 H2. Especially important if that website goes down in the future.

The Mitchell seems much more relevant than the OEM GM repair manual I have.
