Default Hummer 2 2003 front seat won’t go up and down

I am looking to repair or fix the seat or whatever but I don’t know where to begin. I hear a click when I move the switch up and down but nothing happens. All the other functions work. I would like to fix myself if possible.

Start by looking under the seat.

Is there a way to test the seat or any other test before I remove the seat?

You already tested the seat: "hear a click" . Now it's time to look under to find the source of the issue. Start by pulling the seat, and check it out. Visual check is the best, there could be a cheeto stuck in the gears?

Seriously? You purchased a 17yr old vehicle, without any mechanical skills, want to diy, and never heard of YouTube?

Thanks for the video. YouTube has been a source but not sure what to search. I’m hoping to learn to do more.

Default Seats wont go up

Hi

Motor

I have the same problem with one of my 04/H2
I remove the seats completely I able to found a complete seats from my neighbor H2 who was gotten to an accident and sold me the seats for $100 the seats was pretty damage but the motor was still ok, but it wasn't easy to remove the motor it has some kind of especial rebits
I able to disassemble and replace it on mine but for some reason the gears inside of that motor are seems plastic which I found kinda cheap for GM to use, took me all day to remove and replace and still didn't solve the problem
I put them all back together. I Still have the same issue. Btw
I did check all the things that I could possibly check prior disassemble everything, cable, wires, etc and all I'm hearing was clicking noise from one of that motors from the attach pics.
good luck to you pls post some pics if you able to solve yours.
Thanks
sean
