Also In talking with The Tire Supplier, I found that there are Tiers ...Tier 1 2 3 4. One being the best for ware and UV protection. So if you research tires, ask what tier # the tire is. The lower the number the better as Tier 1 is the Best....And the most expensive.
Always been parked outside since purchase.

Ok A General Tire.. I think that is rated as a Tier 1 design or tops in Mfg. Amazing that The UV hasn't messed with Dry Rot.

It has two year old BFG's on it. It hurt to buy 5 new tires when the old ones had 75% tread. I will gamble with some things but not tires.
10yrs is an outdated testing review for average tire life expectancy. Bottom line inspect your tires when they get older. Minor cracking is not an issue yet if the tread starts to pull apart is when to be concerned. I do mostly city driving up to 60mph, rarely on the highway yet travel 80mph+ on my old tires. I would think there would be a noticeable warning if the tread was separating while driving like a vibration or thumping. In the meantime I will still drive on my 11+yr old tires then replace all 4 whenever one develops a leak?

I've received many fully cooked meals+BEER at multiple tire manufacturers seminars over the years+I've sold hundreds of thousands tires along with filing numerous warranty claims with the tire manufacturers. Sidewall damage is most definitely not a defect on the tire manufacturer instead user error or road hazard. Old saying: "keep your fenders clean" or "keep your tires clean" "meaning to avoid any damage inflicted upon"

Small cracks are nothing instead monitor psi for air loss. REPLACE WHEN THEY WON'T HOLD AIR

It was a Road Hazard thang. Something jumped up and bit the tire in the Azz. And what was on the menu besides beer......Hot Dogs.... I have been to many Repair Seminars for Yamaha Pro Audio. We also had beer and later we had a hotel room visit from dancing girls.
