How TO KEEP Radio on with Drover Door Open '07 H2
07 H2, I WANT to keep my radio on while driver door (or both front or all) is open. I like to listen with door(s) in open position while I am working on the car itself. Just used to doing it this was way since my forst car in 1983.
Thank you in advanced for any wisdom.

Interesting question, not sure there's a way, unless someone here knows a "trick"
Even with the door closed there's a timeout (think its 20minutes) before the radio turns-off, so defeating the door switch wouldn't help much. With the key in the ignition and door open there's the chimes to deal with.
The wiring diagram show's the Radio is "Hot" all the time, so presumeably the BCM controls it, having said that my non-stock radio still turns-0FF, not sure how it does that, may be its the GMOS-04 aftermarket Interface that sorts it.
There's been past issues with radios staying-on and draining the battery, be interesting to see what other comments you get.

It will still chime unless you leave the key in the run position if you have a door open. I always just hook a trickle charger to the battery and leave the key in the run position on mine. Set the emergency brake so the lights stay off too....

Other than disengaging the "chime" (relay?) I still have not figured this out. Sooooo - anyone see an issue other than battery drain by defeating the door chime? Lousy work-around, but all I know at this point.
