Default Hooked Up My Top Brake Light Flasher Unit.....Sweet

I received my "Back Off" Flasher Module and I insalled it today. Instead of ripping out all that Pesky rear cargo area trim to hunt down the feed wire for the top mounted Brake light, I got out my trusty 18" thick 2009 H2 Shop Manule and found that I could Tap into the feed wire under the driverside sill panel.

Turns out that the "BCM" runs the lamp thru a junction block on the left side IP. The junction block then feeds the wire down into the harness that runs under the driver side door sill plate.

In my case the wire color was Lite Blue. You need to check your older H2's as I'm not sure it is the same color. I would assume it is but I can't say for sure. I did find two Lite blue wires in the bundle. But I lucked out and the first one I tested was it. Here are some pics of the install.

Here's the link to the company... Yo want the "XP" model. It even gives you the option to flash the brake lamp all the time when your reverse lights come on.

Not recommended for main Brake lamps. As the brake lamps also work with 4 ways and turn signals. The unit would ne-gate the turn signal look. Can you imagine your right turn signal on then you hit the brake...DoooooooooH!! Peeps would not no which way you are going.

It can also as mentioned flash the top brake lamp when you shift to reverse if you want to hook up that one wire to the reverse circuit.

Also the other PM I sent you about Name change. Beuler... Bueler...Bueler..

I sent Patrick a PM about the name changes, you were not the only one that asked me. I cannot change it, because I am only a moderator.

I have not heard back from him yet. I will send him an AIM message tomorrow if I have not heard back yet.

My H2 has 3 bulbs in the rear, brake/tail, blinker/4 way, and reverse.... so it would work, I think.

Right? I'm not looking for a wig-wag... just the flash and then steady.

Ok On the AIM...I'll Stand By.

As far as hooking it up to your rig... The rear circuit for Break and tail run thru the turn Signal system. I suppose it would work...???? The system starts to flash when it senses 12 Volts.

So when you hit the breaks both your brake lite filaments would flash.

Now you hit the left tunr signal which is already flashing the breake light which would trigger the flasher unit at the same time...WTF..??

It would look like a disco with one side freaking out and the other side flashing 5 times then locking on.

Try it... It would look cool at night...The Fuzz might have some PC to haul your crazy Butt over...

I'm going to have to look at my circuit... and double check the flasher unit schematics... I'm confused...

I don't have the 4 light system like 2006-2009 has... I only have standard lights... I don't have the bumper-ette lights.... I have a amber blinker that only blinks when turning.. and blinks when the brakes are on... or tail lights on...
