Since it comes with handles, I assume those are fake handles just molded out of plastic? As opposed to the metal OEM ones?
The OEM handles are plastic too.... At least on 2003. Maybe some of the special editions or later models came with metal handles. I do like that it has HUMMER molded into it. That is a nice touch.
I would actually get this for our truck. Ours has both handles missing and it’s cracked in a couple of spots cause it was cheap plastic crap as well. It’s a cheaper replacement as original part prices are going thru the roof.

I thought all OEM hood handles were metal, either black or chrome. I guess not.
Our special edition has chromed aluminum ones, and they are heavy pieces.
The hood grill is plastic, but the hood handles metal (as they should be if you are going to hook a parachute to it and the rear tow hooks and drop the H2 out of a plane)
Just kidding, these are not bolted to the engine like on the H1.
