2008 H2
I have a tricky one here. Had the truck sitting for a few months just cause I was riding my bike to work and used the wifes car. I was tired of chasing a parasitic draw so I installed a simple battery disconnect to just the fuse box. Started driving her again cause it was getting cold out. Now I have an "open hood" alarm. At the same time or coincidence, the front wipers do not work.
Notes:
I replaced the hood latch and still have the open hood alarm
Wiper fuse is good
When I turn on the wiper fluid button, fluid comes out but no wipers.
I did not check voltage at the motor when the switch is on yet
Every other feature on the wiper switch handle works. hi beams etc.
Took the front covers off to see if the wiper assembly broke from the motor and everything is intact

a bad wiper motor Pulse Board Module driver board can cause parasitic battery draws. maybe that is two of your issues. battery drain and no wipers.
i am not sure if a Cardone Select 81-1046PB module would work as a replacement

 

Good thread. My 09 H2 has been sitting for about a month now. I'd better check mine out now.

 

Very interesting, I will try it out. The draw iv had for years and just got annoying to put a disconnect in recently.
