Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default H2 TPMS Value reprogram

I had switched away from the BFG K02's to Bridgestone for ride quality and tread life. I find they seem to do the best at about 38PSI which drives the TPMS nuts because 38 is the lower limit that generates the Tire pressure icon on the dash.

So here's the meat of it, I know in my old Rubicon you could change the lower limit so not to generate the tire pressure warning indicator. I have been digging around with the tech 2 to see if I could find something there but so far nothing.

Gavin, I know you have played around a great deal with TPMS, have you ever stumbled across any setting you could change? I am really **** about warning lights on the dash and even though I know its BS I will still like to make it go away.

Found this but have not looked at it on a Tech2,
this is from a Diesel forum for a 2007 truck,
Tech 2
, follow the steps listed below to select the
appropriate tire type/pressure:
1. Install the scan tool.
2. Turn ignition ON with the engine OFF.
3. Enter “Diagnostics” and build the vehicle according
to model year, vehicle line, etc.
4. Select: “Body”.
5. Select “RCDLR Module.”
6. Select: “Module Setup”.
7. Select: “Tire Type/Pressure Selection”.
8. Select P-Metric Standard.
9. Select the front and rear tire pressure as noted on
the new vehicle driver door placard sticker for the
accessory wheels/tires.
10. Verify that the selections made are correct and
press the enter key. The scan tool will flash
“Procedure in Progress”, then display “Procedure
Complete.”
11. Press the “exit” key to escape.

Thanks for the info Neal, just fired up the TECH 2 and spent some time looking for it. The Hummer H2 does not have an RCDLR module and if I cheat and try an 07 Diesel truck it wont let me drill down to those menus and gives back communication failure which make sure as its not where the software is looking.

I even tried to remove the 33.004 Tech 2 firmware and switch patch to the 33.002 to see it I could find it there. As far as the 08 H2 menu is concerned if RCDLR is there they hid it good. Gonna try my big Xtools D9 Pro. tool and see if I can find something there. I might just have to run the tires with more pressure then I would prefer. I truly doubt the dealership will have a clue how I could resolve it.

If its the 08 SUT your working on it has the module,
that module receives all the radio transmitter signals, remote start, remote fob signals, TPMS, its in the dash just above the instrument panel

I'm going to connect to mine and see if I can find it,

Neal

Thanks Neal, I am going to check it again! Well, Neal you were right on with it, I was looking for RCDLR and didn't think anything about "Remote Control Door Lock receiver."

Anyway, just did it, lowered the setting down from 42psi down to 40. I would think this will give the few PSI I need to keep from getting the alert on cold days here.

Thank again for your time and pulling out your Tech 2 and pointing me in the right direction. I really love the Tech 2 but sometimes you have to read between the lines. Just as a point of interest my expensive Xtools D9 Pro had a menu to test the RCDLR but nothing for TPMS.

Just goes to show you the old obsolete Tech 2 still beats the crap out of the new stuff when it comes to our H2's!

I went back to Xtools and asked them why the RCDLR did not have anything for TPMS. Glad I did, found out I was missing a software module in the tool. One quick download and update today and bingo its now there. There were other additions too. Next time I need to do something Im gonna grab the D9 first if nothing else just to see how well it does. Neal, thanks again for the help!
