Default H2 exhaust options

I am looking for a catback exhaust system that sounds good. I’d like to keep the exhaust tucked up behind the bumper and something that doesn’t drone or is crazy loud. A decent bump in db would be nice as well as something that sounds a little better.

From inside the cab it kind of sounds like a vacuum cleaner. Anyone have any suggestions. The market seems quite barren. 08 model year if that matters.

I have Borla on mine but they have discontinued them. Check with Gibson they make some nice products.

In June I purchased the Gibson cat back exhaust for my 07, which is the same exhaust as the 08. Bought it from Jegs. Easy install and I really like the look of the tail pipes. Sound is a little louder than I like, eventually I'll take it in and have a resonator put in front of the muffler, plenty of room. For me, it has a small drone sound, but that's just me, everyone is different.

I was looking at a Gibson kit. I saw a video of a newer Silverado and it sounded good.

I was looking at this one, https://www.summitracing.com/parts/g...ummer/model/h2

it says for 2007 only, but I’m pretty sure like you said the 07 and 08 have the same exhaust layout and same diameter piping. I like this one because it looks like it would be easier to take a sawzall to it and make it dump at the factory location as supposed to having the tips.

Update:
I found this one which is slightly different to the previous one. It actually looks pretty good i think the way it is, and if I don't like it, It looks like I can take the tips off or just cut them and I'm good to go. Sounds pretty good too.
