Got my H2 on the road and have a couple ?'s
Hi,
I have a 2003 H2 that had been sitting for 5 years, it's running and driving really well now.
I have a couple minor problems that seem common from google searches, but I was hoping someone here could help clear things up.
First of all, the power door locks, only the front doors unlock, even using the drivers door switch. I swapped relays and it worked several times, so I bought a relay and no luck. Likely the drivers door switch? maybe some contact cleaner? or what worked for you?
Second problem is the drivers door key lock, it doesn't work at all, from what I've read removing the lock will be a bit of a PITA, not in any hurry to dive into that, but I'll need to pull it eventually and get it to a locksmith. Any tips to make the job easier?
Third problem, is audio, it has an aftermarket head unit, only one channel works properly, the others are all really quiet. My searches seem to point to the Bose amp being the issue. The easiest way to go would be just to eliminate the amp, but then I'm left with 2 OHM speakers that I'd need to replace. It would be a lot easier to just replace the amp, are the later year Bose amps more reliable? or am I likely just going to be back at square one in a couple months? I could just replace the speakers, and head unit (no bluetooth in the current pos), but I'm hoping to keep expenses low, and not spend a bunch of time doing an install if I can avoid it.
Decent audio is pretty important to drown out the tire noise from the 35's
Thanks if you're able to help with anything, or just commiserate.
