Default Fuel gauge wrong???Re Calibration?

I have recently upgraded in my opinion from a H3 to a H2. My question is in the literature on the H2 (2005) states the fuel tank is 121 Liters. My fuel gauge read half. Could only put in 45 Liters to fill it up. Looks like a 30 or so liter difference. Is the sending unit wrong ? The computer wrong? If so would this effect the other gauges oil pressure ? If this is a error can it be fixed through the computer or re calibration ?

The guages are servo's and operate independantly and can be prone for "Sticking" but I doubt if the computer will be wrong or other gauges affected.

If they return to zero when the key is out then generally they are at their calibration point (it is possibly for them to have been moved if the cluster has been repaired at some point)

So when you "filled-up" did the gauge read full? If it did then it suggests the gauge is working normally, I'm not aware of any calibration but there could possibly be a sender fault.

I've noticed that starting with the truck on hill affects accuracy, personally I use the trip counter to check miles and the gauge for the last little bit.
