Default Front Lower control arms

Hi everyone, I bought a kryptonite kit. And I have questions for my upcoming project. Has anyone had luck getting the torsion bars out of the lower control arms with success? And tips?

Any tips with the whole front end replacement would be appreciated as well.

Replacing, front uppers, bushings ball joints, front axles, tie rods and center link, Pittman and idler with support

You need to buy the torsion bar tool to relieve the pressure and then its pretty much cake.
The rest is also easy, just take one piece off at a time, try to count turns with tie rods so that you can get it back together with some sort of alignement, then take it to the tire store and have professionally aligned.
Don't forget bump stops while you are there.

Torsion bars are easy. Mark their orientation in the key and arm, get the tool to unload them, remove the bolt, remove the tool, then the key, and push them forward. Its a little tricky to get them back in, but its not too bad. You can get front end ride height specs on charm.li or just crank them up until its at the height you want. Make sure to drive around the block a few times and hit bumps before you align it and confirm your ride height. It will settle a Lot.

I would recommend removing the front axles first, for easy access to the ball joint bolts. Do your lower ball joint/ control arm and let the knuckle hang from the upper and ratchet strap it up. Then do the upper when the lower is back in place.

Steering box has to come out to get the pitman arm off and you'll need a crows foot 1-13/16 if you plan on actually torquing the nut with a torque wrench.

Lastly you don't need the idler support. It's a pain in the *** and in my experience doesn't really do anything.
