Default Flashing Air Conditioning Icon, broken?

The icon on my control panel flashes on and off when I want to turn on the air conditioning. What does that mean? I recently replaced the air conditioning compressor.

Does anyone have an idea?

From the owners manual.... "when the outside temperature is too cool for air conditioning to be effective will make the snowflake symbol flash three times and then turn off to let you know that the air conditioning mode is not available".

Is it cold outside?

Yes, it is indeed very cold now, -5. So that would explain the flashing icon. But the light on the button itself must be on when I turn on the airco, right?
The problem is that the air conditioning does not turn on. So maybe the control panel is broken? The compressor has recently been replaced and refilled.

The light will not turn on when it’s too cold outside. The air conditioning won’t turn on because it will ice up quickly and won’t be able to thaw because it’s too cold.

is the blower working?
