Default Fatboy Goes Into The Shop Tomorrow...Maybe will find that Leak?

Going to New Castle Delaware tomorrow to M&M repair. This guy is a Master HUMMER Meck. Going to leave it with him I guess for 5 days. At least that's what I rented a driver for while the 2 is in the shop. He's going to rip it apart and find out where the "A" pillar leak is coming from. You know I have done all the Forum fix's here and it still leaks. This thing has been leaking since 2009 off and on.

Anyway,,, I'm leaving an old phone with him so he can take pic's as he rips it apart and locates the leak. I will post them up here next week. Hopefully it will help someone who still has a leak problem that they can't find. Most that had leaks got then fixed with the info here. But I know some guys are still having leak issues. I will have a discussion with him about other areas that leak and pass on what I pick up.

So wish me luck.... I had asked him about finding someone to clean the entire headliner. It is a Real PITA. Maybe some of you here have done it. Let me know what you used as far as cleaner and tools. Thanks..

Heh Vax..Great Video... I always suspected the the water was coming in from under or around the roof rack tracks on my rig. Right now it's in the shop with Mat the HUMMER Garu. He's lost count on how may he has serviced and knows where to find the problems. I gave him my cell phone as I said to take pic's to post here. I hope he follows thru with that.

Your video is excellent. I don't have the room to do that and only a sommer window to work on it, plus its my daily driver. But I did learn alot from your video.... Nice work. Thanks for posting. I'm sure it will help others.

Udate: So the super Meck found the main leak area. He shot a video of the water coming in. And also explained a process he goes thru to keep the Sunroof Drains and channels clear and to help prevent water from getting in over and around the headliner. The 2 is still in his shop. Might be picking it up this Saturday...Not sure. Waiting to hear from him this Friday. He is also checking the Air ride system and I hope will have the headliner cleaned.

So stay tuned. I'll post the video and more info on the leaking problem with HUMMERS when I return with my 2.

Thanks Phil...Not looking forward to the Bill...L.O.L. Spoke with the office Lady... Which is his Daughter ... He put some dealership type sealant on the inside where the leak is last night. He was water testing it when I called Worse case Situation is Replacing the Windshield !!! He also said the Rear compressor sounded funny when he fired the 2 up. It sounds normal to me. Anyway I'll deal with that if the Air ride fails up here with new springs...Hey can I use the shocks from the air ride or do I need new shocks that work with the spring?? Just put new shocks on at 50 K... Now has 80K...

Unlike some H2 owners ...I like the Rake look...I'm old school Hot Rod. The Rake to me on the H2 looks cool. ..BWTFDIK.

Also now looks like Monday or Tuesday Pick Up. I just had to extend my U-Haul Van Rental. It's a "RAM" I'll tell you what....They have more Electronic Crap in these newer cars and trucks. Took me 5 minutes to figure where chit was. What I hate is it has an Electric E-brake. You have to go thru all these motions to release it. Also feel like I'm driving a Japanese Car. The Shift lever is on the dash next to the Dash readouts.

I keep pulling the Windshield Washer Stalk on the right down thing it's a Column Shift....LMAO.

Wise man once said: "You can get used to hanging, if you hang long enough."

My Wife's GMC has a dashboard shifter under the HVAC:

So where's the shifter???? I don't see no Stink-en Dash Shifter? I see Buttons ...That's your shifter. At least GMC realized you wouldn't end up in the hospital with a Big *** **** up your nose.

Now Here's RAM'S Idea Of a Dash Shifter on a U-Stall Van... Right Up your Nose if you hit the dash.
