Default Electrical problems. Radio, gauges, and windows won’t work while on

They just turned off at once all of a sudden. While engine cranked they will not turn on, if you just turn the key forward one notch to engage they will be functional but once I turn the car on they completely shut off and the battery and ABS light turn on. I’ve heard that the h2 has common electrical problems just wondering if any of y’all have encountered this and what did you did to fix the problem . Thanks in advance ! John

check the ground terminal on the drivers side "A" pillar next to the e-brake pedal if i remember it might be under the trim panels and also check the ground terminal on the second body bush, drivers side under the car around the front of the drivers door area. they tend to rust.

Actually with the key behavior that sounds like the ignition cylinder got jacked up. Can also happen when replacing the cylinder - it has to be rotated to the exact correct position.

Yes it does have the unknown driver message right before all the gauges shut off, the radio even turned on to the display but maybe 5 seconds after the car being on all the gauges , radio, and power to the windows shut off, very weird.

Just saw the video , that pretty much looks
like the problem I’m having , I’ll give that a try first since it seems to be the easiest , if not I’ll try checking the grounds ! Thanks guys !

I would start by
Clean the battery terminals / Verifying the battery is good - hopefully you find the issue and the problem goes away if not....

Check all the outside grounds esp one on the front of the vehicle.I believe theres a set near the abs module too

When I got mine had this issue took me a lot of troubleshooting I finally found mine was a bad ground on the air compressor set up in the back.

Also I noticed that the dimmer lights seem to go on and off on their own and somewhat seem
to
completely stay on
