so i recently picked up an 07 H2, Im a better than average non pro mechanic. have had way too many to count musclecars
as well as modern everyday cars. I recently got rid of an 89 corvette than was not quite as unsupported by the aftermarket
world as our H2's but pretty damn close. my question is reading all the posts here would have you believe these trucks will become more and more difficult to maintain because of lack of support, I know most of drive train mechanicals are the same as GM stuff but interior electronics,AC stuff is different or is not being repopped at all. example is both of my mirrors are bad and the previous owner glued glass in place. used mirrors that have no actual guarantee that are in better shape than mine are $300-400 and NOS $500 plus. anyway i was so frustrasted with lack of parts for my vette is the H2 gonna be or is already the same?
I have a real nice 2door tahoe that I can get anything you could think of to buy

yes cosmetic stuff specific to HUMMER is getting harder to access. most of the interior electronics though are shared with other gm platforms. the newest of the ICE model are already 14 years old.

I usually cruise Ebay for used H2 parts. I have a small collection of stuff. Like Dash Fronts ...Vents ... transfer case switch ..Driver window and mirror control assembly (09). I once found a guy on Face Book who bought a wrecked 09 and was parting out the interior stuff seas and all.. He was keeping the drive line.
If you Google Used HUMMER Parts you will find a Ton of stuff.

yeah i follow ebay and craigslist its the same junkyards advertising ridiculously overpriced used stuff, my complaint was lack of aftermarket support like so many other brands, you can almost build one from scratch, unlike h2s

Not a fair comparision and not even close in production numbers for Tahoe's and we won't even mention the number of 4 doors that share most those parts.
Buying a Hummer is not for the non-ambitious. Your going to have a challenge and sometimes have to do some digging to find some parts much like you had with your 89. I can feel your pain as I sold of my 91 ZR1 a number of years ago for similar reasons, you think you had it bad with an 89 haha, try to find a part for a C4 ZR1 with LT5. lol
One good thing though is you bought an 07. Just about everything from 03 to 07 are close enough to make work. This is not so with the 08's and 09.
Your in the right place for help, the members on this site are like blood hounds, if the part is out there someone here can likely help you find it, just ask!.
Congrats on your new 07 enjoy and welcome to the forum.
