Default Common items for parasitic draw electrical 2003 H2.

I put a new battery in the hummer five months ago, and it has been fine. I let it sit for approximately two weeks. Battery was completely dead. I am thinking it must have a draw of some kind. I have left other car sitting a month and they have started. Unless this is common for Hummers, that I am unaware of.
are there any specific items to these model years that have created parasitic draws in the past?
I plan to check the usual interior, lights, stereo, alternator, etc. I was just wondering if there was a specific things to look for for these hummers. Thank you very much.

What battery did you install? Quality batteries include 60+Ah capacity.
Typically, the normal amount of parasitic draw is between 50 and 85 milliamps.
Simple math: You parked, all modules went to sleep=<85mAh.
If you left it parked & undisturbed @ 85mAh x 336hrs("two weeks")=28.56Ah draw=Plenty Amps remaining to startup with a QUALITY BATTERY!

I agree it is most likely a draw. I’ll get my voltmeter out soon and check. Now the question is are there any common parasitic drain on this model of car? It’s a duralast gold.

As much as these things leak, various electrical components will develop corrosion that will form pathways for a very low current flow to ground. Buying a Hummer is a bit like buying a car in New Orleans right after Katrina.

Remove the VCIM fuse from the underhood fuse box. That is the old 3G Onstar module fuse (vehicle communications interface module). It has no use since the 3G Onstar system no longer works but the module is still active in the car and trying to find a cell signal. That is one draw for sure I know of.

MixmanSC. Thank you so much that is a great idea. I will definitely do that. It’s funny that you mentioned that because that was one of the top things on my mind. I haven’t had a chance to check for a draw on the system yet. I need to get to it soon. Hopefully in the next few days I can get it done. Once I find the exact culprit of the draw, I will report back.

Yes the battery is fine. It’s a duralast gold and tested perfect. I don’t remember the exact CCA but it’s at least 800 I believe. I will make sure it is 100 percent charged too before I start my electric draw testing. It would have been great if it was just a battery but not this time.

Any chance it would be under a different name VCIM? I couldn’t find one labeled that.
