Choosing tires main use is on street

I’ve heard jeeps w/ mud tires cruising down the expressway, I certainly couldn’t live w/ that noise. Don’t forsee much if any off roading.H2 will be used as tow vehical for my 24’ ocean cruiser. Some boat lauch ramps are steep some can be spliperly.

I’m thinking most ppl cruising on the street want the bfgoodrichs KO2.

Will the ironman tires be extremely loud.or is it the staggered side tread the loud tires?

I'm thinking the off road nobbie type tires will wear much quicker than example KO2s?

thanks

are these holes in outter tread wear indicators?

these goodyears seam kindof cheap might be old tires. here we go again parts not fitting crapola.

I know of a friend with a Ford F250 with Ironman tires, they do reasonable well off road but do have a good deal of road noise.

I replaced my tires a few years back, I was going to purchase another set of K02 but at the time there were in limited supply. I purchased a set of Bridgestone Duelers A/T Revo 3's. They ride better, are better in the snow and are quieter then the K02. They also run about $300.00 cheaper for a set of 4. I would say offroad the K02's have a slight edge. So far they are wearing well, they do pick up there share of small stones lol.

yes I think you are correct I read about studs while researching tires.

Are mud tires good for slippery concrete boat ramps?

Can I use dick cepek tires extreme country tires 315 70 17 (I think are mud tires) on rear

An use Goodyear Wrangler Territory Mt on front? https://www.ebay.com/itm/38428521604...BlBMUICTxo3iYg

My 4 wheels are black (I think from factory)what type of finish is this paint or powder coated? How do remove the black or will this ruin the aluminum finish?
can't adjust font size.
thanks

here's the brand new (made 36/21 like 2 years old keep inside a garage) dick cepek tire extreme country tires 315 70 17 free to me, a man wanted it out of his small garage so I took it. either I buy another or use it as a spare.this tire looks like a retread?

here's the dick cepek tire unmounted next to same size ironman mounted. I sure hope when it's mounted it won't be as tall an gets wider?the ironman sure appears wider.
my car takes 285/35/18 on rear an it's wider than the dick cepek.
thanks

I have gone through two sets of GENERAL GRABBER A/TX LT35X12.5R-20 and could not be happier. They are a good highway tire for long trips, and work well off-road. Good control, nice tread, surprisingly quiet. Highly rated on Tirerack.

Here is a photo on CustomOffsets... here a bunch of people have posted their H2s on other wheels and tires, so take a look. https://www.customwheeloffset.com/wh...el-beast-stock

Other tires used...
  • OEM BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO - They are actually nice road tires, and are highly rated on Tirerack... I just wanted something a bit more aggressive looking
  • Toyo Open Country RT - I know people seem to love these tires, but the set I had liked to wander and were slightly more noisy than OEM. I was not super happy with the ride.

I'm inbeteween the goodyears above should I be concerned w/ them being only 6 ply?
or these el cheapos there 10 ply.
https://www.prioritytire.com/atlas-p...XXKhJx1XyTdRCg

remember this H2 is just a tow vehicle for my ocean cruiser tows around 50-75 miles one way but mostly short less than 5 miles couple times a month rest of the time H2 will be parked.
so is a MT type tire for mud considered a wet tire BC some boat launch ramps are slippery. not planning any or not much off roading.
additionaly can I have the MT muds on rear an the goodyear all terrains on fronts.
thanks

all four tires have to match in diameter if not it can damage the transfercase.front spinning faster than rears as a scenario.
same as unevenly worn tires.
