Can anyone tell me what these wires go to in my tail lights?
Hummer H2For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

for some reason, my original post the text got deleted. It’s a 2003. I’m trying to restore this wiring back to stock. I think I have all the lightbulbs sorted out, but I found these two extra wires in there. I’m trying to replace what we’re LED lights and going back to stock.
Looks Like the socket colored Gray...Brake and park... But don't know your year is?..I'm guessing. One of the smart dudes will come on and tell you. Good idea to post year and type.
Here's schematics of what should be there. Anything extra a PO did would have to be tracked back. I'd start by looking underneath to see if they were tied into the Fram harness. If not then they must have tied into a body harness behind the interior wheel well covers. Could have been for resistors or something near the dash that remotely made them change colors.
Just reconnect the red and blue wires at the left & right tail/stop lamp sockets (brown ones) and bulbs should work. Doubt anyone can guess what the extra red & white wires were for. You will have to trace them out or just leave them disconnected and taped off back in the recess. Once you reconnect the original wires and replace the bulbs check for proper operation of all lighting systems.
One other thought.....it may be that something happened to the original wiring for the stop/tail circuits so a PO had to tap into the main harness power ahead of the connections at the rear junction block (see first wiring diagram).
