Default Cambio bloccato hummer h2

Do you suggest doing this as a preventative measure since most of us are at 15 +/- years on a piece of plastic that failure seems imminent?

They also sell on amazon - (where I just ordered from)

You can check the current bushing, grab/shake the cable and see if there's a lot of play, at the bushing? If not, keep a bushing for backup.

I would definitely do it as a preventative or at least keep the bushing in your glove box. This problem can leave you stranded. Luckily when it happened to me I was in my own driveway

same here. mine broke in the driveway. had to also replace the transmission range selector lever. the pin was also rusted bad and would not hold the new shift cable.

Excellent solution ... but I was out of town,,,,,, I solved it by welding a bolt and then closing with a double nut ... maybe it's the definitive solution ... I hope ... I got scared and thought the worst
I'm lucky to find this forum..yes yes
