Hello Guys. I have the Service 4wd message on. I ran the codes have a c0388 for the rear differential locker. Went under the truck to look at the harness and found one of the two wires coming out the top of the m differential is broken. It's broken down inside the little rubber tube and I can't make a repair. The one wire is broken right where it goes into that small rubber grommet on the photo. I did find a video of a rebuild of a H3 differential and see where the electromagnet is and maybe i can pull the one broken wire through and solder a longer wire? Does anyone know if there is room behind the cover to do this? Also is there a way to fool the electromagnet to get the Service 4wd light to turn off? I never go off road. Thank you in advance for any pointers. UPDATE I REPAIRED WIRE AND THE C0388 CODE DISAPPEARED AS DID THE SERVICE 4WD MESSAGE.
