Beware of Facebook scams
How it works:
- 1. Initiate a dispute:
If you have an issue with a purchase, you must first try to resolve it directly with the seller. If that doesn't work, you can open a dispute in PayPal's Resolution Center.
- 2. Escalate to a claim:
If the dispute doesn't resolve the issue, you can escalate it to a claim. PayPal will then review the case and decide if you're eligible for a refund.
- 3. Refund or reimbursement:
If your claim is approved, PayPal may reimburse you for the full purchase price, including original shipping costs.
Eligibility:
- Eligible Items: Most physical and some intangible items, like event tickets, are covered.
- Payments: You must have paid for the item through your PayPal account and meet all the program requirements.
- Filing Timeframe: You generally have 180 days from the purchase date to open a dispute, according to PayPal.
Items NOT covered:
- Real estate, vehicles, custom-made items, and industrial machinery are not eligible, according to PayPal.
- Items prohibited by PayPal's acceptable use policy, like gambling or certain digital goods, are also excluded.
- Personal payments (friends and family) are generally not covered.
Key points to remember:
- "Item Not Received" or "Significantly Not as Described": These are the main types of claims covered by Purchase Protection.
- Unauthorized Transactions: If you were charged for something you didn't purchase, that's a separate issue that requires immediate contact with PayPal customer service, not a Purchase Protection claim, according to PayPal.
- Documentation: PayPal may request documentation to support your claim, according to PayPal.

POW flag on the flag pole quite often too. Think they have no idea on South Vietnam flag. Every once in a while at fly Soviet Union flag for fun. Gets a few blank stares.
Has there ever been a WWII vet or Korean War vet on this board?
Not sure. But I also Hang on the "Corvette Forum". They show a Veteran Icon next to your avatar if you request it. Maybe there are a few guys here from different conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan as well as WWII and Korea and Vietnam. It would be nice if they would jump in.
