Has anyone replaced their factory backup camera for one with a better angle? The placement due to the tire carrier is so low that you don’t get much of a view. Couple that with the tiny screen in the mirror and it’s not very helpful.

 

My 03 did not come with a factory one. I added one inside the hatch at the top of the glass.... quite visible when the hatch is open but really not that noticeable at all otherwise. The defogger lines do show up slightly on the image but not distracting. I have it angled so that I can also see the hitch when hooking up a trailer. Being inside I'll never have a problem with it fogging up or anything and the rear wiper lets you have a clear view regardless of the weather. On mine the picture is on my Kenwood nav receiver...
