Default Battery Dead and Locked Out

Good Day,

My battery is dead (3rd time this has happened) and I am locked out of my H2. Apparently when the previous owner had the Viper Security System installed, he had the key lock disabled. I just got back from a 1600 mile road trip with no problems, parked in driveway and battery went dead overnight. I did install remote battery terminals after the last time this happened but the key fob won't unlock the truck after a couple hours of charging. I'm looking for ideas as to what would kill the battery, if there is a trick for getting into these without calling AAA and any info on re-connecting the manual door locks.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mark

I'd check the batteries in the key fob..... if a 12V charger is connected than the alarm brain should be getting at least enough power to send an unlock pulse the to door module to unlock.

Yeah - I'd have fixed that for this very reason.

Default Update

Installed remote jump / charge terminals, new battery and bought a jump pack in case this happens again before I look into getting to door key lock figured out.
